Gulf Engineering Forum 21. – 22. 02. 2018

Gulf Engineering Union Award for the 21st Engineering Forum

‘‘DISPUTES IN ENGINEERING PROJECTS AND RESOLUTION METHODS’’

The Bahrain Engineering Society, in collaboration with the engineer Gulf Engineer Union, was pleased to open the doors to the 21st Forum under the title ” Sympathy in Technical Projects and Methods of Solution ” for a two-time award for excellence and creativity from Gulf Engineering Union.

Under the auspices of His Royal Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Bahrain Society of Engineers, in collaboration with the Gulf Engineering Union, organized a 21st Gulf Engineering Forum from 21-22 February 2018 in Manama, Bahrain’s main Kingdom. The Forum was held under the title “Spores in Technical Projects and Methods of Solution”.

This major event was extremely important for improving GCC Engineering Union’s joint goals by enabling GCC engineers to communicate at their annual meetings that took place over the last twenty years. During this time, many achievements at GCC level have been achieved. And, on the other hand, it has become a platform for exchanging different knowledge and experience related to the engineering profession. In this forum, they discussed the development of means and ways to resolve disputes related to engineering projects in various areas such as urban development projects, infrastructure projects and various oil projects, etc.

Because resolution of disputes in engineering projects is a multidimensional process in which engineers participate in addition to experts in other fields such as legislators, judges, lawyers and other experts. This conference has enabled professionals from other areas to provide evidence of the expertise, experience and knowledge gained to illustrate different ways of resolving engineering disputes.

This conference was organized and supported by many governmental and non-governmental bodies, in addition to the Bahrain Society of Engineers and the Gulf Engineering Union, including the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution, the G.C.C Commercial Arbitration Center and the GCC Federation. It is a solid proof that the aim of this event was to achieve a vision of integration between these parties in their efforts to develop common capabilities in the area of technical dispute resolution.

As our chamber got its front line as a member, Slovakia was also invited to participate in this forum in Bahrain on 21-22 February 2018. Where we represented not only our members, their production and services, but also the investment opportunities of Arab investors in the Slovak market. The participants of the conference were interested in both the delivery of products and services as well as the possibility of investing in Slovakia.
